About Us
The trusted yarn supplier of the Turkish textile industry since 1949
Dima Franko was founded in 1949 in Sultanhamam, Istanbul — the heart of the Turkish textile industry. Managed by the second generation since 1989, the company holds a very wide customer portfolio and deep yarn and textile expertise.
We specialize in stocking 144 different colors of dope-dyed Polyester/Viscose 65/35 yarn, as well as innovative synthetic filament yarns newly introduced all around the world. By importing and stock-servicing these yarns, we have built the infrastructure that allows our customers to export with short lead times.
Our business model is built on sitting at the same table as garment producers and importing the right yarn at the right time, guided by their needs and direction.
Our milestones
- 1949
Founded in Sultanhamam
Our company was established in Sultanhamam, the heart of the Turkish textile industry, and began supplying yarn to Turkish textiles.
- 1989
Second generation takes over
Management passed to the second generation; our customer portfolio and yarn expertise have grown from one generation to the next.
- Innovation
Pioneering modified polyester
We are often the first to import specialty yarns to Turkey — filament substitutes of upscale fibers such as linen, silk, acetate, wool and cashmere — co-developed with the world's best mills and stocked ready for consumption. This history of innovation makes Dima Franko a market maker and sole distributor for many of these yarns.
- Sustainability
Recycled yarns
We added recycled polyester, recycled polyester/viscose and EcoVero viscose yarns to our stock; all yarns are imported from high-standard mills holding ISO 9001, Oeko-Tex and GRS certificates.
- Today
144 colors, delivered from stock
From 144 colors of dope-dyed Polyester/Viscose 65/35 to polyester, viscose, linen, silk, wool, modal and Tencel blends, we keep our inventory ready for consumption so our customers can offer the shortest lead times possible.
